shrpshtrjoe,

Both Florida and Utah concealed carry permits are recognized in a mojority of states. I don't know the exact count, but they cover quite a few.

Florida permits are welcome in alot of states but, some states only recognize them in the hands of a resident of Florida

Here's a site to check things out.

I have my Missouri permit and it is recognized in most of the states that allow CCW. I really see no reason to have another out of state permit...Unless you are collecting them. One of the guys I associate with has around 10 permits (?) Why? Confused

And if you do a lot of ground travel here is another useful site:

32 states honor Missouri's CCP

I thought this might be a option for people that live in states like MD that make it almost impossible for a permit. I'm a stone throws away from Delaware and Pa. So I may look into a state that offers out of state permits. It's a damn shame to have too though Mad

The only problem I see is that MD does not recognize any other states permit...You will be able to carry in a bunch of other states, but not in your home state. Is that a benifit? The web site that I listed will tell you who honors and who doesn't...

You are right. It is a damned shame. As far as I'm concerned. I firmly believe that the 2nd Amendment is my CCW permit... Mad

Chambered 221 MD Is not a "shall issue " state. If you can prove that you have had recent death threats or your self employed and carry large amounts of money you MAY be issued one. A lot states are "shall issue " the way it should be.

Maryland is a friggin' banana republic. It all started when that numbnuts Schaeffer was elected governor. It has gone downhill ever since. The MD state police is in the same category as the Brownshirts of 1930s Germany. I personally know of one case in which a person was identified as a witness against an MD state police in a corruption investigation whose body was subsequently found in a dumpster prior to the grand jury.

Unfortunately, the majority of the people in MD seen to be OK mighty fine with the situation. They keep electing the same crooks.

Better not...Maryland isn't the only state that has "may issue" and some of them are even worse. Illinois comes to mind...

Below are the 20 states that are terrified of texans (and probably other states) and their concealed-carry permits. These are probably the same states that would probably want to do away with the second amendment. These are also the states to migrate away from, if our societh ever breaks down.

The ones that surprise me are West Virginia, Ohio, Iowa, Nebraska, and Nevada. Apparently, their state governments have been shanghied by the socialists.

Cary, not that I disagree with you because in the end it’s all bureaucratic bull$#!% Mad

Keep in mind that some states require training/testing that’s equal too or greater than to be eligible for reciprocity. Thumbs Down

That's just the point; it's bureaucratic bull$#!%

We have to go through training and about a 3 month character and records investigation from the top down. They don't just give them out. I even received a call from the local sheriff asking me why I wanted a concealed-carry permit. I just told him that it was my right as a law abiding citizen. He told me that he couldn't argue with that.

The point is: Congressmen shouldn't control your right to bare arms (and that includes carrying across the US), unless you're a danger to society (a criminal of some sort). That right was given to us in the U.S. Constitution and some little two-bit panty-waist city councilman or half-wit socialist state representative has no right to impose his pansy-*ss metro-sexual wishes on a law abiding US citizen.

One of these days I'll tell you how I really feel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we got the drift. Have you ever tried valium for that rage? One step further. The 2nd Amendment is my CCW permit.

And we do need to push for a U.S. wide permit or do away with the permit system all to gather and just carry...
