#1: Another Krag story Author: Gil Martin, Location: Schnecksville, PAPosted: Mon May 22, 2006 3:43 pm ---- Folks,
My nephew found a lovely sporterized .30/40 Krag with the original sights (which are worth as much as the sporterized rifle). The bore is rough and is not unusual for a rifle that is 108 years old. He got the rifle for $100.00. Once a new barrel is installed, the rifle will be like new. It is getting hard to find Krags these days. All the best...

Keep it coming...

The Krag has already been sporterized so it is a shooter. Just needs a new barrel and an Adams & Bennett barrel from Midway will tighten it right up. The collector value of the rifle is minimal. All the best...
