Howdy. I would have to say my favorite scatter gun would be my rem 1100, for a couple reasons one the gun just fits me but more so the gun belonged to a friend who died in a car accident a couple years ago. His father is a very good friend of mine he had bought all of his kids a rem 1100. After my friends death his father got all his guns and was kind enough to make sure i got it so the gun has a lot of meaning it kinda gave me something from both of them ( he is 82 ) Whats your favorite scatter gun.

My favorite shotgun was an old Savage-Stevens Model 311A 20 ga. Sideby.
Bought it used some 35 years ago. It was solid and dependable thru the years. It seldom missed an upland bird. Gave it to my son when I got a new Beretta. I should have never got the Beretta. Can't shoot it worth a darn.

Since I could not decide, I have acquired too many shothuns over the years. I prefer 16 gauges and have an Ithaca Model 37 pump, Remington 1100, 870, Remington 11-48 semi-auto and a Baikal side by side. All the best...

Remington model 870 express (12 gauge) one of the most popular guns ever. I think it made the top 5 most popular guns ever. Works like a charm and I got a custom stock and forend on it. MY Favorite gun by far. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Joe, I can relate to the Rem 1100. That was the first shotgun I ever owned and the first gun I ever shot a deer with (00 buckshot@ 50 yards). I went through a monetary "crunch" a long time ago and had to sell some of my guns. The 1100 and my Rem 700 BDL (22-250) were 2 of the guns I sold and I still have nightmares about letting them go. It was after that when I vowed to myself I would never part with another gun NO MATTER WHAT. .....Have a great day

My first shotgun has remained my favorite since the day I bought it. It's an older Remington 870 12ga. with a 30" full choke. I've since added a slug barrel for it. If I didn't own another shotgun I could get by with this one. I've since added a nice Browning s/s and an Ithaca SKB. Both cost me a good bit more than the Remington, but none serve me as well. Best wishes.

My favorite was always the Rem 1187 until a Benelli salesman sponsored a skeet shoot at a local gun shop. He had many different models. I shot about all of them! I fell in love with the Black eagle. I saved up a year or so until I could afford one. I settled on the Supper Black Eagle because it shoots the 3 1/2 shells and I shoot deer with shotguns sometimes. It is a great gun. Light and shoots anything from dove, turkey to buckshot loads. And it is very easy to clean.

What? You mean you get a choice? And all this time I thought the Remington 870 was the only shotgun ever made. Well, I'm not givin' mine up for anything.

I love my poor old mistreated and worn out 1100. I really need to replace it but I just cant... it jams every so often but its been such a good friend, drug that gun over hill and dale, in snow storms and torrential rain. I still look it over and see the scratch I put on it when I shot my first goose, the ding when I tripped while pheasant hunting with my dad etc etc.

I'm just too darn sentimental.

It's amazing how guns can do that, when i hunt with my 1100 it brings back a flood of memories of my friend. When i shoot my 22 rim fire i can still hear my dad teaching me how to shoot. This sport has done so much to bring family and friends closer together. I hope to give my daughter similar memories Smile

Mossberg 835

It takes any 12 gauge ammunition I put in it. It does not care if it gets muddy and full of cattail fuzz and ice. Due to its weight it swings well which allows me to hit the things I shoot at. Pretty it is not. Practical shot gun it is.

For the most part I shoot 2 3/4 inch steel 2 shot. When targeting geese it's 3 inch BB. It will take 3 1/2 inchers but I really have not needed them.

Only have the one shotgun....a Fausti Stephano O/U in 12g with interchangeable chokes. Why only one....it fits me like a glove (straight out of the box) and I can shoot it well. Once shot 600 rds in 2 days shooting clays with it and didn't come up sore, which I consider to be good thing. Figure I can't ask anymore than that. Oh yeah, and its a damn fine lookin' gun too.

DallanC and Shrpshtrjoe, know exactly what you mean about the firearm that is an old mate. Mine is a Krico .22 I bought in 1969, that and a single shot Lithgow .22 that was handed down to me from a long dead Uncle. Will never voluntarily part with either of them.
