I have no idea how this happened. I don't even want to think about that moment when the trap was sprung and the jaws snapped shut, followed by the attempted bolt to get free or away.

Ive seen possums die of fright in trap overnight,but never caught one by his gonads!!!!!

I can't imagine any critter, or man, that wouldn't scream like a girl mate because there is an immediate high level threat that one would loose the relevant male parts if they are not released, and quickly.
