Nice effort Elvis, seems you have an endless supply of feral fish and birds.
I just wish QLD would get back a duck season, our fearless leaders stopped it in a deal with the extreme greens.

the Boy did good
first time out with the .12ga and his shot/bird ratio was the same as ours (yes that means we all suck) seriously 1 bird for 6 shells on big open water is ok going.
we had a ball

now this fella (Nugget) worked like a demon all weekend
friggin hard on a short dog in waist high grass with plurry Californian Thistles all through it..about half of the birds fell into this grass and with out the dog we never would have found them.
he poked out the pukeko 1 shot down it went
then the goose 1 shot down it went
then a mallard dropped in perfect cupped wing presentation 1 shot down it went..those were first three rounds Ive fired in anger out of new/old Bakail SxS
Nugget and I beat the banks/shore/treeline of the island and pushed a mallard out of trees I shot it and realised it was right over my old Dogs resting spot/grave "that ones for you Buttons" I called out with teary eyes as Nugget picked it up.
