Not a big football fan myself...but I must say, these guys are about the toughest of any you are likely to encounter anywhere.
2011 Tri Nations NZ All Blacks v Australia Wallabies (Full Game) pt.1
The HAKA is at 9 mins and game starts at about the 12:30 mark. There is nearly 2 hrs of hard Rugby that someone has taken the trouble of breaking up and posting to Utube if you wish to watch the entire game.
Cheers, Vince

Rugby is like American Football, as American Football is like Soccer. When it comes to "contact" in the sport.

Rugby is a great game while you're young.
I gave up playing Presidents grade (35+ ) when I was 36 after being in the Waikato B Division until I was 32.
My list of injuries include 2 broken ribs, concussions, 2 torn rib ligaments several broken fingers, about 5 sutures etc - and I was a back. Usually 2nd 5/8th or Wing. God knows how bad I would have been as a forward.
Now I have semi arthritic fingers (those were the broken ones) I can't lay down on hard surfaces for long periods - the ribs protrude.
That was after 6 years playing. No Pads, No Helmets, just fullahs knocking 6 shades of shite out of each other for 90 minutes then having a beer or 5 to dull the pain......that about it Elvis?

yeah that about sums it up.I played as a young fella in Tokoroa seeing the boys 10-12 yr olds coming back from a game with black eyes and talking about the huge sgraps that erupted tended to put me off the game a tad. I played hockey right through till end of high school.I played a game or 2 later on but my heart wasnt really in it. hunting and fishing is my prefered sports.

I played union as a young kid until we moved to the states and was "introduced" to flag american football. A bit like touch football but with a high fairy factor, I didnt last long.
Back into union when we moved back to oz, then got moved to victoria where they play aussie rules, they didnt like rugby tackles either.
Played a few games in the airforce, got over it when we played against a papua new guinea team, decided I didnt like bouncing off big balls of black muscle and ending up a similar colour with a smattering of blue and yellow thrown in.
Now Im too old to bounce and just watch it on telly.
