Good writeup there all seeing eye!
It is nice to know what the relationships are between companies and brand names etc.

I've seen the ADI powder equivalents list OV1...but I am not sure that the powders listed against Hogdon are in fact all ADI powders. I believe the object of this list is to give reloaders a list of powders from the different manufacturers showing approximate burning rates in relation to one another.

Hodgdon has never manufactured powder, but merely bought it from other makers and re-labeled/repackaged them.
Pyrodex and triple 7 I'm not sure of as I asked in the e-mail I sent to Hodgdon last summer about smokeless powders for pistols and rifles. I did get a response from a guy named Mike at Hodgdons and listed every powder from other companies and the relabeled Hodgdon name. I did print it out and will find it and post it on here.

I use 8.2gr Blue Dot under Speer Gold dot in my Glock 35 and get fist sized groups off the bench @ 50yds.
If interested my full recipe is Federal or Winchester Cases, Winchester small rifle primers, 8.2gr Aliant Blue Dot, Speer 180gr GDHP seated to 1.120"...
Yes,.... it says Winchester Small rifle primers, its not a mistake. Came across this accurate load whilst the primer shortage was in full affect. It works well for me with no pressure nor other problems. When i switched to regular Win small pistol the group opened up!!
I WILL NOT BE RESPONCIBLE FOR THE USE OF THIS INFO! LOAD IT AT YOUR OWN RISK. MY GUN IS NOT YOUR GUN! WHAT MIGHT WORK IN MINE, MAY NOT WORK FOR YOURS!

Thanks, Crackshot. why do you think the rifle primers did better?

Ya see Vince? Us Americans have been using ADI powders for years. At least it's not made in china...

Doing good Bushmaster. Thanks for asking. Just been busy loading and shooting the local matches and what not.
How you and yours doing?
Another good powder for light loads is WW231.
Not sure why they did better at all. I chronographed some with standard primers and the differance was only on average 25FPS higher for the rifle primers.
