What was your best powder weight for Varget for both rounds? I may use your optimum weight to focus my loads around.

Nice job Joe! Give some 40gr and 50gr V-Max bullets a try! I shoot .5" groups from My Bushmaster Varminter all the time with Hornady Vmax 40gr. It puts Ghogs DOWN in a hurry!

That can happen with the aftermarket triggers at times. Mostly because they are adjusted lightly and get dirt/residue from the chamber gets in them. It is a gas gun after all, The piston conversion can stop this from happening, but thats
an expensive fix. get the darn trigger readjusted and loctite the screws. Cheap, and affective. just dont use the permanent loctite. Very Happy
Thats what I did on one of my AR with a JARD trigger.

Glad the fix worked AOK! Interested in how the 70gr TSXs do. My 16" AR with 1:9 likes the 69gr SierraMK.

Those are both good starting loads and surely good enough to hunt with (was that a typo on the Varget load). Looks like you are close to max load. I'd be interested in what velocities you are getting.
