Wow- 6.9 outside of Mexicali , about 150 miles from here. Another one nearer here and farther up north too. That's way my place was shaking so long. Not too far from here people are stuck in elevators, things are kinda shaken up, yikes.
Our pool here lost some water...that's about it.
Gonna go check the safe, Boomer's kinda scared of shakers, the Benelli aint a big fan of 'em either.

Thanks, Joe. My pictures are all crooked, nick-nacks got knocked over, just a matter of time 'till we are an island...that's why my safe has a big bag of styrofoam peanuts in it.
People come over and wonder why our TV's and such are all strapped down and stuff, well, now ya know!

I may put up with cold and snow but at least the earth don't shake.

Hey Stovey....put the mixin's fer a couple of martinis in a glass and sit 'em on ya verandah...the next shiver and shake will mix 'em nicely fer ya.
I've been watching the USGS Earthquake reporting website...you guys are gettin' a lot of movement over there...after effects of the big nasty down South in Chile a couple of weeks back no doubt. You mention becoming an island soon...I've no doubt there are many who reckon the state would be better off becoming a suburb of Atlantis.
We get the very occasional shake here...but never enough to be even noticeable 'cause where I am isn't even remotely close to a fault line.
Hang in there buddy...and consider movin' up to where Wiersay is...no 'quakes there from what I read.
Cheers, Vince

I bet that isn't cuttin' into yer feedin' time though. Earthquakes. Not all that bad unless you are in the city. Now tornados. About the only thing I can say about them is at least you can see them coming...

Yeh- we don't get no warning with shakers. And leaving a plate of hot chow on the table? Goes against my nature.
Run outside? Or finish chow. Run outside? Or finish chow. Run outside while finishing chow holding a 1911!
It gets complicated living out here.
All kidding aside, hope everyone down south are OK. They upgraded it to a 7.2 That's frickin' MASSIVE huge man, I mean BIG. That's when big stuff comes toppling down.
