Damn....is that the problem.

I've grown web feet....I had 2" of water all over my yard, the water leaked in under the back door to my garage...which is ok except for the fact that cardboard boxes with the girls childrens stuff is now all wet and I have to find a way of drying it. BUGGER !!!

Good news though is that our dams have hit 72%, from a low of 12% last year...and the drought is now officially, according to the Govt, over.

Cheers, Vince

Ah the rubbery Dam volume figures , now seeing as Wivenhoe does not have 100 % capacity but due to it's design as a flood mitigation dam only a 63% capacity are the Dams 72 % of the total storage based on all dams having a 100% capacity or are they 72% of 263% . Don't worry I confused myself ?

I drive for a living and am completly feed up with the loons that come out when it rains , especially the idiot behaviour I had to cope with during downpoor wednesday - needed a stiff Port when I finally found my way home around the floodwaters that night .

regards Jacko

Welcome aboard Jacko....grab a beer and pull up a stump mate.

At the risk of confusing myself even more than you....I think they put the volume of all the dames together and average it out to arrive at a figure. I wonder if that includes the lake beside Lakeside Raceway. Laughing

The wet always brings out the stunt drivers mate....you should know that.

What part of Qld you in mate?

Cheers, Vince

ALWAYS well store guys....can't afford to loose any to deterioration.

The dams up here in SE Qld have done real well. Last night the capacity was at 73% and they say the even with no more rain, the run off would be sufficient to bring them up to 75%. We are still getting rain here now...albeit only light with the occasional heavy shower.

Our water state is pretty good now and is better than it has been for quite a number of years.

Cheers, Vince
