I have to unload, I apologize now to those of you who are not US citizens, please read no further if you choose. Further, I will understand if this is not published, or is subsequently removed from the articles.

I want you to understand that I love the USA; I love what it has been and hope it yet will be. I love the Constitution, The Bill of Rights, and have studied the founder’s words and writings. Their foresight in what they created if followed would have produced an endurable nation of freedom. But the extremists and the liberals have stolen that from us and corrupted the founding fathers words and more importantly their intent. They have failed to realize that freedom of religion is not the same as freedom from religion, and that God intervened in the creation of this country, to give the world a glimpse of what a government could be. They have corrupted our history, or fail to teach it properly in our public schools; so that young people don’t know the true struggle that this country has endured. Did we make mistakes along the way? Certainly, I am not sure that any people forging a nation could endure without mistakes. We should recognize or errors, learn from them and proceed, but not teach hated for the country for its errors.

But, to me without including the morals, and ethics that Jesus Christ guides us with, this grand experiment is failing, and I am sick, heartsick and physically sick at what is going on in my country. Greed, corruption, and ignorance rule. It has created a country that kills babies indiscriminately, that does not know for sure what a marriage is, that is confused about what is moral and what is an abomination. Greed has created an event felt worldwide, that we may not recover from, and if we do, the recovery will not leave the same nation of freedom that was there before. There are those in the world that believe that this is a good thing, that the US is too big for it’s britches. Well, I understand, and I am sorry that your country is not as great as the US. But, if and when we fail, your plight will become worse, mark my words.

This Republic has become a true democracy where the majority, no matter their ethics, their level of intelligence, or moral convictions, rule by majority of vote, and more importantly and more sadly are subterfuged by an un-Godless media. And, even more sad are those that believe the media's lies, or who have been taught to be ashamed of what they are, either by color or by place in the economy. People who vote their guilt, the guilt taught by endless media insistence that we are bad because we work hard, have ethics, and believe that people have a right to become what they are willing to work for.

I could go on and on as to why I believe that this man Barack Obama was selected President of this once great county, but I am a Christian and I elect to follow Christ's teachings. I for one am ashamed of this election, ashamed personally, and ashamed for my country. And pray to God and Christ for forgiveness.

Martin Luther King was in my estimate a great man and he said, a person should be judged not by the color of his skin but by the content and quality of his character. Yet we have elected a man who consorts with convicted terrorists, whose avowed best friend is a black supremacist preacher, and who bought his house from a convicted felon, I am totally confused. We cannot even be sure his birth certificate is legitimate. But, the media tells us these things are not important, so I guess that they must not be. After all, our last elected liberal President did not know what sex was, under oath, and was impeached, but not convicted.

Now, the ORGY of the inauguration, my God forgive us, but even the only conservative news station in the US is slathering at the prospects of reporting it. I will not watch it, I will be praying for an end to the US’s debauchery, and a return to Christ.

And, so I will endure, as I am sure we all will and only hope that I and my family are no longer here and reside with the Father before the inevitable happens.

I could not be up-set with what you say when I agree, what a sad time for this country because of the liberals, all we can do now is watch the rights that our for-fathers died for fade away! With our new President, it has nothing to do with the color of his skin ( I have no problem with that) It is his politics that scare me, With him and Reid and Pelosie, believe it or not I think there will be blood once again on our own soil.

I couldnt help but shake my head today when I saw numerous prayers being said before the crowd at Obamas' inauguration ceremony where the crowd was asked to join in the prayers . This is as it should be but the reason I was shaking my head was this is the same government that does not allow this in schools ??? I hate double standards . Weather you are a believer or not , which would you feel better about ? Being surrounded by people who believe in goodwill toward your brother man or those who dont ? I wont be giving up my firearms anytime soon .

Mine, either. If they interpret the Constitution to mean that only State Militia have weapons, then I will start a state militia, it does not say private or state sponsored.

Sorry for your disillusionment, but I can't share it. I voted with Brother Billy Graham this time, so disgusted with the greed party and its dupes that I hope no republican ever serves as president again. This country became great on the two-party system and has almost died from it, thanks to the corruption and deceit of the G.O.P. Yes, I wish the democratic platform wasn't as rampantly anti-gun, but I'm disgusted with idiots who claim that God is a republican, and no democrats are Christians--Brother Billy still worships the same God I do--but even so, I'm sad to have had to vote for democratic party candidates; only the republicans could have made me do that. I'm not sure I know of an honorable man in either party; Obama's one of the few I don't have a good reason to have a low opinion of.
I am an idealist. I will never be a democrat, and I will never be a liberal, on any issues any of you could understand, but I am, for the moment, an optomist. I pray that the devastation of the past 8 years can be overcome. I hope that my sport won't be destroyed by collateral damage, and am saddened that the extremists in the NRA are the only vocal line of defense against the extremist idiots in the anti-gun crowd, but I have the satisfaction of having seen my country grow up, just a little bit, in the past three months. I shudder to think what will happen if some cretin tries to change things with a bullet. I do know my country won't survive.

As I've said before, I'll never be able to trust a politician that doesn't trust me. Obama's voting record shows that he wants the citizens disarmed so he can't be trusted.

As for " the devastation of the past 8 years"... Seems someone bought the media BS hook, line and sinker.

If our right to bare arms is infringed, and you voted for Obama, you have no one to blame but yourself. Socialism is socialism and a liberal is a liberal, no matter how you slice it. You don't vote for a gun grabbing socialist, and then say I hope he doesn't take our right to bare arms away, and get mad if he does. You deserve what you get. You should go down to the police station or some government office and turn yours in. That's your option as a citizen. While you’re at it, why don't you go ahead and donate about 75 percent of your income to pay for all of the socialist programs that's in the works.

While I'm at it, here's something else that almost sent me over the edge!

I was listening to Rush Limbaugh today and he played a news clip where Tom Brokaw (commenting on Obama’s Inauguration) said, (talking about everyone who didn't vote for Obama) “Take that" you rednecks.

Now that just pi*ses me off to no end. To think that he is so stupid to believe that, just maybe, we didn’t support Obama because he’s a socialist! Mad

Another thing..If Billy Grahmn voted for a socialist, then he's wrong too!

In my opinion, 100% of the problems we're having in this country was caused by the socialists (news media and politicians) talking the economy into the dirt for political gain. The sad thing is that the innocents are being dragged down along with the dumb as*es who deserve it. The socialists have destroyed the retirement funds of millions of people, solely for political gain.

In my most humble opinion.

I am with you 1000% Cary and I am ashamed to admit to some of the feeling and attitudes that I have concerning Obama and his kind!!! I am wondering how long it will be before a revolution starts?!?!?!?!?!?

I don't know what I could add as you have said what I feel much more eloquently than I believe I'm capable, but I can say that I'm angry at what Americans have allowed to happen to this country. Too much patriotic American blood has been spilled to allow this country to come to such an end. I don't know what I can do or what can be done to correct these ills, but I know this country is ailing and will surely die if left to follow this current path. While I listened to Obama take the oath of office with his hand on the bible, I had to shake my head hearing him vow to protect and defend the Constitution. I can already feel the hollowness of that promise. America has always been more than just a country to me. There are many countries, but to me there was only ever one America and I've always believed that because of it's great ideals, America was truly blessed by God. I'm a simple sinner who goes to work each day, loves his Wife and tries to raise my children as best I can. I've always tried to live to be the best me I could be while trying hard not to hurt others and to deal with everyone I meet in a just manner. I was taught to serve my God, my country and to help other people and I've always tried to follow those teachings. I can now but put my faith in God to judge America and American's and if we're judged still worthy, to help us correct the problems of this once great country.

I could never bring myself to vote democrat - not for any reason.
But then I haven't voted for any republicans in a lot of years too - there just doesn't seem like either of them has done our country any good in the last 40 years.
I will continue to vote Libertarian until the rest of you guys catch up with me and we elect all of them.
The only way to stop the two party degradation is to vote for the party that believes in the sanctity of the constitution and the ability of the United States citizens to take care of themselves.

You will now be returned to the standard broadband of the two party debate or how to vote for "the lesser of two evils".

Paul, I certainly support your decision to vote any way you choose.

And, many times in my 40+ years of voting I have wished for a better candidate. The choice between the lesser of two evils is always difficult, but there is obviously a greater evil in any vote for a liberal.

Not all Republicans are as conservative as I would like and some such as McCain to me barely meet the mark, being more centrist. But, perhaps in today's world that is the only way we can maintain any sort of conservatism in the government.

The problem I have with voting for a third party candidate is that it dilutes the chances of getting even a moderate conservative in office.

Please, I do not mean to demean your vote or your conscience for voting the way you do, I applaud your convictions. You are more an idealist than I.

To me the most important thing is to get conservatives, and constitutionalists in office. So I must vote Republican. Even I, must vote for the most liberal Republican I know of, Lindsey Graham, a despicable person, but the alternative is worse.

In history, the first time a president was elected to office due to a viable third party choice was Abraham Lincoln. If, there had only been 2 candidates Lincoln would not have been elected. And, as far as I have been able to learn he was the first President to flagrantly abuse the office, ignoring many constitutional rights of the public, such as Habeas Corpus, free speech, and others. It's out there, you just have to look for it.

I am not sure that there is anything that we can do for at least the next 8 years to change the direction of the liberal socialists gaining ground in our government. Already the media is making excuses for Obama, saying there is no way he can turn things around in less than twos years.

Well, even the economists have said that prior to the election, but the media is already protecting Obama from failure by their single sighted coverage. Even if Obama fails the media will report that the disaster was greater than realized and that the troubles we face are all Bush's fault, and it will take more than four years to turn it around.

As I see it the only viable option is to vote Republican in every mid-term election to gain power in the Senate and House. To write letters, and email every official anytime something arises that reduces our rights, or threatens our Constitution as it stands. If we continue to stand up for the conservatives, the candidates will improve, as long as the majority of people vote for centrists the less conservative our choices will become.
