He was cleared by a grand jury of any wrong he may have done.

Odd you linked the National Post about the only Center/slightly right wing news paper we have up here on a national level. Also the only one that does not go after gun owners like the rest.

Shame the founder of the Paper is sitting in jail for fraud now.

Good man and brave man!!

A couple of burglar pick on my house five years ago.
My neighbours who happens to see the thief in action called the police - them people who supposed to protect us arrive 2 hours later (the station is 2 km or 1.4 miles away)
The thief got away with thousands of dollars goods (computer, laptop and camera gears)
The getaway car, which number plates were recorded turn out to be a "stolen" car..

Lucky because there is an actual witness for the burglary, the insurance people did not give me too much trouble when I make a claim.

This sounds like two candidates for the Darwin Awards. When a man with a gun says "Don't move, or I'll shoot" then following instructions might be a good course of action.....
