Five hours.....

......until I leave for my third attempt to get a Colorado elk. Very Happy

I have eighteen hours of driving & flying to look forward to tomorrow, including eight hours of transatlantic boredom.

I haven't put a damn thing into the suitcase yet & only just found my rangefinder.
It's another six days till the hunt begins, so I guess I'll have some semblance of organisation by then.
I only hope this chest infection has cleared up by then, coz I live at sea level & our camp is at 9,000'

Getum while you can mike, them's a scrappy bunch of elk in colorado..We have Roosevelt elk here in ca. Them things get down right big..let's git crackin dude.git them bags packed and the gear stowed away fer yer trip..It night be along trip ,but if ya git one ,it'll be worth the wait...Dave

If'n ya don't git ya elk...at least you will have had a break away from Pomgolia...that has to be a bonus in its own right mate. Enjoy the time with your hunting buddies and consume copious amounts of alcohol as you sit around the fire remembering the big ones that got away.
