|
Today was a gray and rainy day so I hung out in a gun shop for a few hours. The shop is about half and half surplus and new and used sporting arms. There are several hundred guns on display and I roamed the racks looking at everything. Did not buy any surplus arms, but found some No. 4 Mark 1 magazines cheap. It was a nice time. Any of you good folks have a favorite gun shop where you hang out? All the best...

Crackshot,
What part are Michigan are you in? I spent a lot of time in the Detroit area, Petosky, Bay View and Mackinac City. All the best...

Some guys have all the luck I would not want to sell any then , thinking they were all mine, then wipe down every one
I look at the gun catalogs too and my wife walks by, asks what are you buying now?
I am allowed in the gun shop to look , and the wife wants to come along . She knows my weakness.
I have more guns than time or money to shoot, but you never know when something follows you home

Man we RARELY have deals like that around here... I need to have you guys watch out for a few guns I need, have you buy'em and I'll pay the cost + FFL transfer.
I'd really like to find a deal on a near new condition left handed Rem 11-87 or 1100 Mag shotgun. My old Rem1100 is just absolutely near to worn out. Great shotgun over the years but man the years show on it... and the internals are worn down all sloppy so it jams every 4th or so shot.

Dallan,
I know where there is a great Remington 1100 magnum, but it is right hand. I shoot off the left shoulder and have been using right hand guns all my life. I'll even put a left-hand safety in it for you. Send me a PM if you are interested. All the best...

Like Crackshot, I "work" at an established gun store and though I have had several other professions, this is the one that is the easiest and most enjoyable. From that perspective allow this:
We have numerous married couples where the wife brings the husband in to look at guns. Three such ladies outbuy their husbands in guns, gear and accessories -- on a regular basis. Too, we have women customers involved in competitive shooting that are nationally ranked. It seems to be a trend, women getting more involved in the shooting sports.
Annie Oakley would be pleased.
