this is the way to go! in our swedish forum people complain all the time about wrong spellings and if you post a pic of something everybody just write a bunch of crap now thats sucks bigtime and if you try to help someone you just get dirt |
Well mate...you can put that behind you now because you have now become part of the family of HuntingNut.
I feel pretty certain that you followed things here for a little time before joining up and can see how we operate and the jovial, yet crazy, bunch that we are. No crap here...unless its thrown in jest, in which case we all have a good laugh while ducking for cover.
Now, just to get back on topic....the 250 3000.....is that another name, the original name, for the 6mm Remington? If so, then I think that its accuracy is well known, and the Savage rifle can only add to the equation.

The 250 3000 Savage is the shorter named .250 Savage.
The 6mm Remington is a 244 Remington. Which is based on a necked down .257 Roberts.
By the way there are a great deal of cute Swedish girls with natural blond hair that are lookers.

First we gotta type, now we gotta spell?!?! I may have to move to a dumber forum...
After reading the discussion of the Savage 99 I might have to check the gun show tomorrow more thoroughly!

I've wanted a Savage 99 in 250-3000 ever since I read Roy Chapman Andrews' "On the Trail of Ancient Man" as a kid. In his book, he makes special mention of his '99 and his use of it on game animals and to dispatch a couple of Mongolian bandits during his expedition. For anyone not aware of this, Andrews was a noted explorer and archaeologist and is considered to be the model on whom the character "Indiana Jones" was modeled.
Unfortunately, the only 250 I ever had was a rebarreled M95 Mauser that shot great but was a very finicky feeder. To this day I check the racks of every gunshop I find in hopes of finding a '99 in this caliber in reasonably good shape. Good luck and good shooting!

i love the 250 savage! a very nice round on small game now i had an extremly god luck when i got that rifle (the only one i ever seen i sweden). i was shuffeling snow a couple of yers for a older gentleman then he wanted me to take the rifle for the work i had done. at first i did not wanted it at all. thought it was a realy ugly lever now i am a benchrest tight group freak and in sweden we only can have 6 rifles and i had 5 well no i own it and so it will be untill i die im gona use it as often as i can. and when the barrel gives up i change to a new 250 savage. on the rifle i have bipods and a 6-20x44 scope pretty scary to the real leverlovers but works lika a charm to me and my kind of shooting now the only thing to do is to replease the forestock to a little bit wider stock and im going to fix this one to the reciver instead of the barrel mostly to get the barrel freefloating. no worry guys im not going to destroy it all the original parts are still left ! when im done i going to post some pics and you will see a varminting lever blend! ...johan
