Wow...I'm in love !!!!! That is one very nice rifle mate. You daughter is a very pretty young lass as well too mate.
My daughters have already laid claim to different rifles and my motorcycles when I turn up my toes. At least I get to hang onto them before I go...looks like you don't mate.
Cheers, Vince

She's pretty partial to it. She graduates high school this next spring and is joining the service, which branch she has not decided.
Yes she is pretty....but im biased I guess. All the damn boys are noticeing too.
Oh, I ordered that rifle at the same time as my uncle, they are consecutivly numbered.

Finishing High School...that would make her about 17 - 18 yr old. Its about the time that boys become a serious part of any young lady's life. Make sure you get yourself a bull whip mate....works wonders for keeping the boys in line. A father had better be biased about his daughter otherwise he can get himself in DEEP doodoo.
I'm being a bit of a traitor here, but I've always believed that the Air Force is a better option for the girls....certainly in our AF there is more scope for advancement for the girls...and the work is very interesting too. Wish her luck with her end of year exams and her application for the services from me mate.

Will pass the well wishes along Vince, thanks.
As of right know she is talking Navy for the medical training she wants. She wanted to be a Marine, But they are killing machines(her words) and have no medical training.

Nothin' wrong with being a "killing machine" mate...so long as the killin' is done at the right time, in the right place for the right reasons and most importantly, done to the right individuals.
Surely the Marines allow their members to specialise. Then of course there is the Special Forces...I know for certain that they have a very high level of Medical training, although I have never heard of a female becoming a Ranger, Green Beret, Seal or Delta Force member.

Her best medical training would be in the Navy. There are a few Corpsmen that I would trust with my life over some of the doctors...Saw an E-6 (First Class Corpsman) do open head surgery at sea on a mess decks table after a large hatch fell on a seaman's head. A piece of the skull was pressing against the brain and had to be removes and reset. It was three days before we could get within range of a carrier to move him to their medical facility. Saved his life, no doubt.
Had to eat in the passage ways and other compartments because we couldn't move him from the mess decks. Really not much of a sacrifice for a shipmate.
