I live about 5 miles from the spot where a bear and a car ran into each other this morning. Take a look at the location:

The bear had to be a retard in the first place, living that close to the city.
Serves him right to get run over.

The bear probably got confused by the interchange, Atlanta is like that. Folks from Houston talk about traffic, they just think they know fast and furious. Atlant is right with the Bronx express way at rush hour and Houston is a distant third. Poor ole bear, just minding his business and wham a 68 Chev PU with a wanabe Formula I driver smacks it.

I'm with you Bushy. The 405 here is the longest parking lot in the world any time we get a snifter of snow. I5 too! Stupid people can't drive so they get out of their cars and walk - on the dang freeway!

When I first I looked at the map it shocked the heck out of me. I saw the jug handle from 285 onto 75 and thought it was Forest Park (south of ATL). My mother-in-law is in a facility off Forest Pkwy and lived in College Park.

Forest Park would actually be less surprising because there is so much farm and hardwood forest land south of the city. The northern suburbs are a lot more developed (because that's where the money is) and the forests are mostly pines.
After I posted this, there was another collision between a bear and a car 5 days later. And there have been two additional sightings of dumpster diving bears within a couple of miles from my house.
