Title speaks for itself. Do you own either type? Which is your favorte?

I personally own 2 muzzleloaders, a TC Hawkin and a Rem700 ML. I also own a Browning Tornado bow. I've used the muzzleloaders mainly for deer but have taken elk with them. The bow I used for deer last year taking one.

How about the rest of you?

I have never used a Muzzleloader on a hunt. I have shot them before.
I do have a bow and I love to use it. One of my favorite hunts each year is archery Javalina in southern Arizona. I have taken two pigs home in the last two years. I shot one three years ago that I could not recover, blood trailed him a long ways, but never found him. I have been Muledeer hunting and Coues hunting with my bow as well, with no success. I should have shot a Mulie the year before last, but I choked (branch sticking out right in front of the vitals). Then I shot over another mulies back at about 30 yards (doh).

Howdy. I own a traditions pro 50 cal muzzleloader,a pse single cam coumpound bow and a horton crossbow . I have taken several deer with each. I will hunt with what ever the law will let me, if they had a sling shot season i would be out there. I enjoy them all if i had to pick one id say muzzleloader.

I own an AUSTEN & HALLECK 420 I have just got it grouping at 1.5 in at 100m off an benchrest all the time. I am going out to the range this weekend and try too keep it under 2 in offhand and see if shooting stixs can get me back down to 1.5in. I am putting in for BP deer an elk this year.

Yes, I have several muzzleloaders and prefer Lyman .50 and .54 flintlocks. I think the Trade Rifle is more attractive and the Great Plains Rifle is more traditional. I use them in the primitive muzzleloading season here in Pennsylvania.

My beloved bow is a Hoyt 45-60 lb. compund that I bought years ago and hunted with a few times. Now I mostly shoot targets with it. All the best...

Rem M700ML and Thompson "Express", both in.50 cal.

Both are great for their intended purpose. I use the Rem for serious hunting and the Thompson more for plinking (its 1:48 twist favors round ball more than conicals, but the 245g Buffalo Ball-et works OK).

I have both. My preference is to hunt with a bow but most of my family doesn't. Here in Utah, there is a fairly new program that allows a hunter to hunt all three seasons ( archery, muzzleloader, rifle) where most hunters choose a season. I haven't hunted rifle much here. Too crowded for my likes.

I have 4 muzzle loaders and three bows.

For ML's I have two CVA Kentucky .45 Calibre sidelocks made from kits, a CVA Optima .45 calibre in-line and a Traditions Tracker .50 Calibre in-line.

For bows I have my first hunting bow a PSE Pacer that I sometimes take along as a back-up. I also have two crossbows - a Horton Explorer 150 pound bow, and an Excalibur Exomag 200 lb bow.

I gave up archery about ten years ago due to an eye injury to my right eye. Bad enough trying to sight left eyed with a right hand bow, even worse… my mustache kept getting hung up in the bow string. Shocked Mad Crying or Very sad

Anyways, the front stuffers I have at the moment:

.32 cal custom caplock half-stock squirrel rifle (left hand)
.45 cal caplock CVA Colonial pistol
.45 cal caplock custom full-stock Kentucky long rifle
.54 cal caplock half-stock Thompson Renegade (left hand)
.50 cal Knight American in-line
.50 cal CVA in-line
.50 Cal caplock (Italian made, unknown brand) half-stock

LOL . That makes me think of when i use to shoot indoor archery leagues. There was this fella that ALWAYS shot with his pipe in his mouth well needles to say on one of his shots the string caught his pipe and sent it down range along with his false teeth i just about died. We didn't shoot very well the rest of the night we just kept laughing Very Happy

I've got a Barnet Exocet, wound up to 90/100lbs. Have taken many straw targets and one scruffy looking plastic fox at a game fair a few years back.
Hunting............. for things to do!! It's illegal to shoot (or shoot at) any live targets in England. Maybe one day I'll find a dead politician laying around somewhere.................

I've got a martin compound and a ben pearson recurve. My muzzleloader is a thompson black diamond. I killed a 24" mule deer with the ML a couple of years ago, and lots of trees, dirt, and brush with the bows.
