Tremblay;
Good shooting! At that temp. I think i'd of been shaking so bad I woulden't have even toutched the target! LOL!!
I picked up a Springfield .45 1911 Loaded a couple of years ago. Somtimes I can shoot great with it, other times I coulden't hit a bull in the butt with it, standing 2' from him. I blame it on the darn bifocal glasses. I've been thinking about one of those Crimson-Trace laser grip set ups.
I have a friend who works for MHP, his hand gun is the .357 Sig. He said it took some getting use to in the handling dept. and he really likes it now, also he says he has never had a malfuntion, not once!! , Wish I could say that, but ever once in awhile I get the dreaded stove pipe!
At any rate, my 1911 is far more accurate than I am, so far. I need to get out more with it, I think it's kinda like shooting pool, ya gotta stay at it!
Keep up the good shooting!!........................................Gene.............

I found that in a hand gun you need one that feels comfortable. Too big of grip is the main reason for some people not to shoot as accurate as they think or can. I other words the gun has to fit your hand.
I could not shoot the 1911 it did not fit in my hand
And thanks. When we shoot we are on atimmer 2 sec draw and fire 2 to 3 shoots. 5 sec, some to draw and shoot 2 to 3 shoots reload and fire 2 to 3 shoots, strong hand and weak hand. Gets a little nerve racking some times.

Fail to stop drills(2 to chest, 1 to head) are not part of your Qual Course? Our course consists of 48 timed rounds fired from 2-25 yards, 240 total points possible. Four of the shots though are at a small box on head. 12 rounds are fired one handed from 10 yards, six strong and six weak with a mag change between hands. 196 is passing, score of 230 or higher is considered expert. I still have the first target I shot expert on, I was so close so often it meant a lot when I broke the 230 barrier.

When I was doing security for Federal Protective Service We shoot from 3,7,15,25 yards. strong hand, weak hand with reload inbetweenat 15 yds and all were timed. We shot 60 rounds for posable 300. the loest was 287 and highest 297. I got top gun for montana qualifiers in 2004.still have that target
If you look there is one in the head, one in each arm, What happened was when we were done, they bet me I couldn't put them there from 15 yds.
