My brother-in-law sent me an email about a polar bear attack in Alaska. The guy was attacked in his tent and ended up killing the bear, but none of the attached pictures opened.
Has anyone else heard of this and if so have you seen the pictures?
Have a link to them?
Thanks, JJ

Thanks Dimitri!
That was it, as the first picture was the one that opened in my email.
Thank again, JJ

Face it, guys, we are not at the top of the food chain in some neighborhoods!
Some critters seem to have discovered that man is tasty, and easy to catch.

I think its a fake. I dont believe the photos. the last photo of the foot, I've seen before. Its was listed as a shotgun blast to the foot. I think someones pullin our chain. |
picture might be fake but that doesnt mean that a polar bear could do that kind of damage to u! i m sure we all agree on that right?

I believe the photos are genuine, except the last one. The pictures are consistent with other bear attack photos I have seen. The scalp is usually torn......bears seem to enjoy biting the head. I have seen much worse photos from real bear attacks. At the Alaska Trooper academy we were shown photos from the Timothy Treadwell (the grizzly man) and Amie Hugenard( grizzly mans girlfriend) investigation and autopsy. The skin was removed from her entire head except for parts of her face.......not a pretty sight. Timothy had slightly more skin left on his head with a little bit of his scalp left. Other than the skull, the biggest remnants of the two were the spine.......lots of little pieces. They can really tear things up!!

Gruesome pictures. I believe the polar bear pictures are real and the scalp wounds. The foot injury could be genuine, too. Take care...
