One of my weaknesses if a fondness for classic rifles and shotguns. The criteria is simple, if the firearm is an interesting older one, in decent shape and affordable; it usually comes home with me. High on my hit list are Ithaca Model 37s, Savage or Springfield .22s, nicely sporterized military rifles, Savage 99s, Winchester lever actions, muzzleloaders and Remington or Marlin shotguns. There is no other logic and as a result I have a pile of inexpensive guns that allow me to tinker at will. I shoot most of them and have a great time. Anyone else prefer the classic arms? Take care...
Joe

The rifles I look for are 788 remingtons. I've owned 4 over the years but sold one to my nephew. I would really like to get my hands on one chambered in 30/30 and 7mm/08.

Joe,
You are a man after my own heart. I have been pursuing classic arms for as long as I can remeber. All the best...

Joe, I actually have a Ithica model 37 with a deerslayer barrel for sale if you're interested. It's a 12 gauge.
