Welcome to the power of the centimeter! We are a small but very fanatical bunch, we kin of the 10mm. Kind of like those guys that are in love with thier 41's. Nothin' wrong with being a peace officer, personally though I just prefer ya' do your job with someone other than me, HA HA HA!!

Nice 1006, the 10mm is a great round and the S&W is a great gun for it. You will find that with the right loads you can darn near get 41 magnum power in an automatic.
Get some adjustable sights and you'll have a great little short range (75yards or less) deer gun. I have a 1006 and a Glock G20 and have loads of fun with both.
