1895,
Not sure what are your tastes, but if you do not own any semi-automatic rifles as of now consider buying one (incase the Liberals grandfather them in the future! )
A SKS will set you back 165$ for example and ammo can be had for 200$ for a case of 1,120 rounds of 7.62x39mm.
If I had the rifles I am interested in (M1A, No. 4 & M700) I'd seriously consider it for some pop can shooting fun.
Dimitri

You hunt Guitars?
Aprops of nothing, except you know how some dumb song will keep popping into your head?
It's an oldie, and goes; (sort of) Sung to guitar accompanyment, to keep it on subject.
...Late in the evening we'd go out with a light, 'cause the road got curvy on a Saturday night.
After he'd missed the clothesline wire, he'd say "I CAN DIVE DEEPER AND COME UP DRIER than any man in this county!...
And he did it , too, right off that wagon seat!...

I would think that something in th .25 cal range should do nicely on most guitars. (.25-06 seems to come to mind)
some of the thicker bodied guitars (electrics as a whole) might require stepping up to the .270 win range( Jack O'conner never met an electric guitar, let alone one he would hesitate to shoot with a .270 win)
pesky electric bass are a whole different critter though. in order to affect humane kills, you need to get into the .30 mag arena. 300 win mag comes to mind first, but any of the shortlongultrainfinatelaserguidedoverunderboredinterbondedloktspitzerpoiteddualcoredballistictipped bullets in a 30 cal magnum SHOULD kill a bass guitar.

Thanks hunterjoe21, good guitar info, I already have a 25-06 and a 30-06 and several more calibers. I don't have a 300 mag, maybe that's the next guitar...........??????

Go for a Model 70 WinMag 1895.
Reloading is my second favorite vice next to shooting, and with the 300WinMag, a guy can have a lot of fun on the range reloading for it.
I'm still working up some 110gr V-MAX for it, and am extending the ranges with great accuracy results.
You will like the "tune" that it makes for sure.
