but either can no longer find or there no longer made.
What I'm looking for is a list from everyone of a bullet caliber/weight and style you'd be interested in using in your hunting / target or self defense firearms that aren't available now.
Thanks for your input

Glad to see you here. I cannot think of any bullet that I want and am unable to get. I reload with jacketed and cast bullets and have everything I need. Take care...

Herters Banana Peels .. Is what got me started reloading many years ago ..
Also the original Kynoch Steel Jacketed Solids , I'm pretty sure that the current ones are the same profile as the originals , but they look and feel different ..

I'd like to see a solid bullet suitable for the Marlin .45-70s. The bullets out there are too long for that action. I think that it could be useful for Alaskan or African hunting. If I can get some will somepne take me to Alaska or Africa?? |

Thanks Vince! I'm aware of Woodleigh but never looked for a .45-70 bullet there. The IT nazis here at work have that sight blocked so I'll check it when I get home.

Vince,
Thanks for the site. I was off reading about the new bullets and found the 160 protected point 6.5 bullet and the 240 PP bullet for the 30-06 very interesting. Both bullets should be real penetrators.
Most bullets I use are ones I have in fair quanity or I cast, so right now I do not know of a need to bring back a bullet.

Speaking of 45-70 bullets, I wish Randy Garretts excellent bullets were available to handloaders. I love his ammunition, but it is pretty pricey. I like the Garrett 330 grain 44 magnum bullets and the 540 grain 45-70 bullets. Top notch stuff but only available as loaded ammunition. I carry my Redhawk loaded with his 330 grain Hammerhead ammunition for a bear gun. Very accurate load in spite of the recoil, which is on par with the .454 Casull.

Dominion/Imperial CPEs. If these were still available I would never have started swaging my own bullets in an attempt to duplicate their performance.

I would like to find some .357, Speer 160gr JSP/SWC. For some strange reason they discontinued it for .357, however they still make it for .41, 220gr and .44, 240gr. Does anybody have any of these bullets

I too think the bases are fairly well covered. However it would be nice if Hornaday would sell there new lever action bullets to reloaders.
I plan on giving Bear Tooths 425gr. 45/70 bullet a try, when I get my new rifle.
That 450 grainer dosen't look bad either.

I don't miss outdated offerings and revel in current bullet building technology dosed with common sense.............
Outside the aspirations of a few limited special interest groups, the advent of the TSX leaves little need for another hunting bullet....
With the exception of a lesser expensive play bullet like matched in profile and BC....tho' that's easily done on all three levels.
