Just been mailed to me, and I thought its best to share it Smile

Do you think she yelled "PULL!" when they came through the door?

Two illegal aliens, Ralphel Resindez 23 and Enrico Garza 26, probably believed they would easily overpower a home alone 11 year old Patricia Harrington after her father had left their two story home.
It seems the two crooks never learned two things, they were in Montana and Patricia had been a clay shooting champion since she was nine. Patricia was in her upstairs room when the two men broke through the front door of the house. She quickly ran to her father's room and grabbed his 12 gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun.
Resindez was the first to get up to the second floor only to be the first to catch a near point blank blast of buck shot from the 11 year olds knee crouch aim. He suffered fatal wounds to his abdomen and genitals. When Garza ran to the foot of the stairs, he took a blast to the left shoulder and staggered out into the street where he bled to death before medical help could arrive.
It was found out later that Resindez was armed with a stolen 45 caliber handgun he took from another home invasion robbery. The victim, 50 year old David Burien, was not so lucky as he died from stab wounds to the chest.

When are people going to learn that in some states (Texas and Montana to name 2) it is afer to asusme the home owner is armed and to go to a safer state, like Claifornia where all we have are rocks to toss at people or guns that have more locks than Fort Knox. I've always maintained that a 12 gauge is the best home defence weapon. Too bad that little girl had to go through that in the first place, but I'm glad that she knew the right thing to do (better them than her)

We can all raise our glasses and cheer for her but I think having to shoot anybody is a pretty traumatic experience, especially for a youngster. Someone should be stopping those crap heads before they get IN to people's homes.

Do not hold your breath waiting for this to be reported by the national news, and it sure should be.

Or maybe shoot the burglars first and use them for coyote bait.

Wow, shot him in the kiniki's... good job!!!

Someone should post this on a news website. Maybe then the criminals will wake up. If not, then more coyote bait.

Hoffman,

The story isn't true, but here are some real stories of armed girls (using a quick search on www.nraila.org/ArmedCi...fault.aspx ):

The Janesville Gazette, Janesville, WI, 3/24/99
State: WI
American Rifleman Issue: 6/1/1999
A 14-year-old Plymouth Township, Wisconsin, girl was getting ready for school early one morning when she noticed a man peering inside through a bedroom window. The frightened girl, whose parents had already left for work, responded by retrieving a double-barrelled shotgun. That image was apparently enough to send the man fleeing. The girl's father had set out both the shotgun and a pistol for exactly such a contingency after she reported seeing the same man the previous day.

The Herald-Citizen, Cookeville, TN, 6/13/96
State: TN
American Rifleman Issue: 10/1/1996
Despite the presence of her parents and a sheriff's deputy, a 15-year-old Cookeville, Tennessee, teenager was still forced to defend herself from an abusive ex-boyfriend. Confronted by the deputy and the girl's parents outside of the family's residence, the young man broke free from the deputy, jumped a fence, and kicked in the door of the house where the girl was hiding. There the ex-boyfriend came at the girl to attack her as she held the phone--with a 911 operator on the line--in one hand and a Ruger .44 Magnum in the other. A single fatal shot ended the attack.

The California, Bakersfield, CA, 9/21/92
State: CA
American Rifleman Issue: 1/1/1993
Two teenage girls were asleep at the one's Bakersfield, Calif., home when two armed, masked men kicked their way in through the door, confronted the young women and demanded money. When one man grabbed a wallet, one girl, a guest in the home, grabbed a 9 mm and opened fire, mortally wounding one of the invaders. The other escaped. Police said the girl would not face charges.

The Times, Anchorage, AK, 1/15/92
State: AK
American Rifleman Issue: 4/1/1992
Only 11, a Talkeetna, Alaska, girl called on the firearms training her mother had given her when someone broke into her home early one morning. When she heard movement outside, then inside, the house, the girl got a shotgun and yelled "I've got a loaded shotgun and if you don't get out of here right now, I'm going to blow your head off!" The intruder took the none-too-subtle hint and fled.

The Dominion Post, Morgantown, WV, 1/15/85
State: WV
American Rifleman Issue: 4/1/1985
A 16-year-old girl walked in on two men ransacking her Camp Muffly, W. Va., home. When she tried to flee, one of them punched her twice in the face and shoved her into a bedroom. Once in the bedroom, the battered girl grabbed a rifle from a closet and then warned the intruders to get out. They hastily obeyed.

The Daily Tidings, Ashland, OR
State: FL
American Rifleman Issue: 2/1/1984
A 16-year-old Orlando, Fla., girl awoke to find a man undressing in her bedroom. When the man grabbed her and said he had a gun, the girl said she, too, had a gun and was going to get it. The threat startled the man so much that, pants dropped to his ankles, he backed off and attempted to escape out a window. But he got caught in the window, which the girl and her mother held shut on him. When police arrived, he was dangling helplessly from the window.

The Blade, Toledo, OH, 2/22/83
State: OH
American Rifleman Issue: 6/1/1983
After breaking into a Toledo, Ohio, home, an intruder used a wooden club to administer a beating to a 15-year-old girl resident. During the assault, the girl was able to make her way to an upstairs bedroom, seize a handgun and halt the attack by shooting her assailant twice, sending him to the hospital. Her attacker had been served a warrant the previous day for allegedly harrassing the same girl.

Be it real or fake, there is moral in these story.

Police and law enforcement officers could not be always there when you need them and armed citizen will have more chance to walk out alive when being attacked.

At almost every gun debate on the news here in the Land of Oz, there is something like "... we don't want to go down the path Americans have in the violent crimes, where guns are freely available....".

But then again, I live if Australia, where police are always around to protect you 24/7. Well, that's what the anti-guns and the greens said...dream on mate!!

Just yell, I've got donuts, and you'll have more cops than you know what to do with at your door.

That story as I've been told is indeed true. The NRA doesn't cover everything either. They still gotta sell magazine subscriptions and articles submitted for their "Armed Citizen" page are subject to editorial review. If it's not sensational enough, you AINT gonna hear about it.

Yeah, the U.S. Supreme Court has said law enforcement organizations have "no individual duty to protect" towards citizens. Hmmmmm......

Basically, we are on our own till and if officers ever arrive.
