Any relation to the Marleau's in my neck of the woods? I went to school with Patrick Marleau's Dad ..... you know the Patrick that plays hockey for the San Jose Sharks. I know the family well.

We have the book of Marleau history from a guy who interviewed all of us Marleau's around here, which is pretty much my Dad, Brother, and myself, and our kids.
The book shows that Patrick Marleau an I are 10th generation Marleau's, which puts us as 4th or 5th Cousins.
I don't know him, and haven't tried to contact him, even though he plays the Wild, which is close to me.
My family comes from South Porcupine Ontario.
I see pictures of some of my late family up there, and boy, do I look like them.
I hope that they weren't as crazy as I was and still am, sort of.
The things that I did in the woods all of my life, leaves me wondering how I could still be alive.
My wife says that ALL Marleau's are bull headed, so I would think that Patrick and his Dad are pretty much the same way.
It has always made us Marleau's as tough as nails.
Sometimes too tough and bull headed for our own good.
Maybe you want to contact him and see if he would want to e-mail.
If he does, let me know.
Eric

His dad and aunts and uncles are all tough but good people. I moved from my home town where his father and family still live and don't see them often. When I do I'll certainly mention it. You should contact him and he would likely get you free tickets to a Wild game.

That's another Marleau trait.
I don't contact him, because that is just what I'm afraid of, that he will give me tickets.
I don't take free anything, and take advantage of a person that I know.
It would be nice to get together with him at my house so we could meet over a wild game feed that I would cook up.
Mention that to his Dad also for me.
The coffee is always on, and a good meal can be cooked up quick.

Back to the original question:
I'm 61, I own about 45 firearms, and my favourites are almost anything without a lift bolt. I like BLRs, BARs, Rem pumps and autos, Marlins, Rosses.....

52 last jan. I have 6 rifles and 2 shotguns. My favorite gun to shoot is my 30/30 win. For hunting I reach for my Tikka 30.06. For a shotgun I would have to choose my rem. 870 16 g.
