Well I figure if its like the 50 Beowolf it will have similar balistics like the 45-70 which might make a good big game gun. Smile

What we need and what we want are seperate catagories and the latter needs no justification. That's one of the first rules of firearms -- you never have to justify your next purchase. Another rule -- you are never happy until you have one more!

That said, the 450 Bushmaster seems similar to the 458 SOCOM in terms of performance. My RRA 458 SOCOM has been a delight from day one and is one of the main rifles I use for calling coyotes at night. Maybe, it is a tad overpowerful, but, it is among the most humane rounds I have witnessed on song dogs.

450 bushmaster looks like a good level of punch i have the beowulf and will be getting the 450. here in indiana we can not use a high powered rifle but the beowulf with the short case can be used if the new laws get passed so the 450 looks to have a bit of a longer range
