Howdy. Today is Marylands opening day of trout season . The daily limit is five. Was out there bright and early we can start fishing at 5:30. Caught four smaller ones 10"-12" and one pretty nice one 20 1/2". Wasn't a bad morning There's just something about standing in a stream as the sun comes up fishing, you don't have to catch anything to have a good day. It's nice when ya do but it's not required
Joe

Joe,
I see you had a good day fishing! And I got to agree my thinking with fishing is that catching fish or not its a good day on the water.

Nice catch Joe, Are those Rainbows? Out here all I get to go after are stocker rainbows unless I head up north. They do stock some Hybrids in a couple of the lakes but at $30 to $40 a day to fish them, makes it a little though to justify. It would be about a six hour drive to get up there so I settle for the local lakes. Anyway, glad to see the bonus for a great day on the water.
Tim

Nice going Joe.
That bigger one at 20+inches should go around 3 pounds, however the smaller ones are better eating.
Congratulations and I'm jealous.

Nice catch Joe......I'm green with envy mate.
I love to go fishing.....my daughters call it feeding though when I go.....they say its only called fishing when you catch something.
Mate, a bad day fishing is 10 times better than a good day working.
Well done mate....and tight lines for your future ventures.
Cheers, Vince.

You better start without me fellas, I'm gonna be real late. From NW Washington it will take me a few months to walk that far, even if my back wasn't broke in one place and ruptured discs in two other places.
It has been a while since I had fresh trout. Maybe I'll go fishin' - I don't need a license anymore.

PaulS,
Go fishing! You know go fishing to the local park with water your bond to find some kids who are learning to fish and you can pass down your knowlage of fishing making them better fishermen/fishergirls as well!

Dimitri,
I hadn't thought of that. I like teaching - Thanks for the thought.

No problem Paul, eventhough I'm still young when there are younger kids fishing where I am if they ask how to catch fish I help them out and set up their fishing lines with what ever bait that seems to be working that day and they get happy they are catching "big fish" so it makes the time I'm not fishing and helping them worth it in my opinion.
