I used to have all mine in the spare bedroom/computer room, so it was always warm, BUT the eldest daughter(24) moved back home(Just can't ged rid of them can you?), so I was ousted into the loft space where there's no heating. Anyway. one day she might the bank of mum and dad shut and get a new fella, then I can get the room back!

Basement, right next to the furnace/washing machine area. Need wool socks on the foots in winter, but summer, the house is air conditioned, so, generally, it works very well.

Dave,
Both of my kids are in their 30s, both have moved back home at least twice. So my advise would be to figure out a way to heat and cool your space.

My garage. I built a small reloading cabinet and bench next to my tool bench.

Sniper,
Are you living in my house? You just described my loading area. Its in the basement next to the furnace and across from the washer and drier. It is chilly in the winter but nice and cool all summer long.

Used to have a spare bedroom in our old house that was the computer/reloading room, but then we moved out to the country. Now I have a 30' x 40' insulated metal shed that all of my "toys" were banished too. I am still in the process of getting everything setup there, have one bench for my RCBS presses and one bench for my Dillon's. It has a heater and doesn't take long to warm up in the winter. Trying to negotiate a small bench back in the utility room in the house to make it easier to get things done.

A few years ago we enclosed our 18 x 33 patio and added A/C and exercise equipment (which gets used several times a week), but also ther ewas plenty of room for a reloading bench...and just recently I got a lockable cabinet to keep the powders and other things I do not want my grand kids playing with-it's small but organized and workable.

I'm set up in a 40' closet that runs behind the bedroom and living room. The walls are sheeted with 5/8 OSB on either side, and filled with 1/2"- pea gravel.
Makes fer a great Chrony alley. Weigh it, squish it shoot it... Next build, I'm goin' fer 50' and concrete walls. I hate having to go out to the range to practice, practice, practice. Its frigin cold when them winds push icky stuff outa the north. As fer heat, its tough luck for JJ, the little bride says the noise is enough, if we heat the testosterone alley, that'd be the end.

Depends on who you ask at my house. Wife will say its basically strung thru the entire house. I would say its confined to a small room in the basement with no heat and a short ceiling. I do have a portable press mount and shelf so that it is possible for me to load just about anywhere.
I got that from too many times the 'children' moved back...had to be flexible.
Average humidity in CO is quite low. We won't get much real rust unless things are submerged.

My reloading room is a 11x11 bedroom (without closed) in my daylight basement. The room is fully finished and carpeted. I installed kitchen top cabinets along one wall, with shelves and a gun safe under. My bench is 2'x10'. Its 3/4" plywood over 2x6's edge to edge, with six 4x4 legs. It's solid. The top is covered with short, tight looped carpet. There are two shelves under it. On top I have a 12 ga. single stage "Honey Bair" loader (that dates me), then four Pacific/Hornady 366 loaders (12, 20, 28 ga, & .410), then a Dillon 550, and finally a RCBS Rockchucker press. The room has an electric baseboard under the bench, but it isn't needed. I also have way too many boxes of stuff in the room that need to be cleaned-up and put away.
