I'm still waiting for the new Encores to make it across the border.

Dimitri,
I'm right there with ya!
The market seems a little sluggish compared to expectations.

Where did you locate the 7mm super bowers reloading dies?

Redding makes 7-08 Ackley improved dies
That is the chamber's design
Using 307 Win brass affords a semi-rimmed case
The spacious cartridge accomodates starting charges using slow powder for 7-08 with tolerable pressures for contender.
7mm Super Bower is a semi-rimmed 7-08 Ackley improved case because it uses the 307 Winchester brass (or 444 Marlin, as I do)

| Rimmed 7mm/08 is piece of cake to do and using 307 brass necked down using your existing 7/08 dies and your away laughing. Gunsmith it only cutting rim in chamber and possibly altering extractor a little. |
that 30/30 necked down to .284 is a 7mmwalters..been around for years
how bizare.... I was trying to quote Vince.... with his suggestion to neck down 30/30 to 7mm....
and of course if going to neck down a 307win case the logical choice would be to go .277 and call it the .306.8 now that would be a great cartridge in a break open....following on from another fellas new rifle build where he created a shorter than normal cartridge by simply cutting bum off dies and then getting gunsmith to shorten chamber end of barrel etc by same amount,my mind automatically thought ideal way to make the .277 version of 7mm-08 which would be better with a rim..thus the .3-6.8 rimmed, but my gun cabinet is full enough and wallet too empty to make it happen.

Been finding uses for H380 as Ackley's writings list an application for nearly every rifle cartridge
It's a slow burning ball powder that has fallen from favor since the 'black rifle' craze requires the gases to function the buffer to cycle. .. not so in bolt actions and break-action single shots
The load that shot that group above was 27.6 gr behind a 100 gr bullet
I used it in a 6.5 Grendel also with a 24" Bbl and found a .75" group result fom 26.8 gr and 100 gr bullet

Hummm...Been using H380 for .308. "Black rifle" is a DPMS Oracle AR-10. 45 gr under a Hornady 150 gr JSP. No cycling problems. I use the same loading in my Browning BLR .308.
In the Palmetto/Anderson AR-15 I use 24 gr of H335 under a 55 gr JSP. No cycling problems.
