Another decade passed, a lot of water under the bridge.
Things can only get better.
May a great future meet all of us.

We can only hope and pray Gelan, but with the way COVID is mutating, it’s anybody’s guess what the future holds. Then of course there is the unpredictability of China...who knows what the future holds.

Did not start off well. Was planning to go ice fishing today. Had to get things ready yesterday. Due to extreme lack of snow this year, I decided to swap out the snowmobiles that were already loaded on my trailer, with ATVs.

My son took the snowplow blade off my ATV, and stashed it in the garage... which I later tripped over falling hard and almost broke my wrist (its super sore).

Then I climbed up onto my trailer, my snowmobile started right up! Great! Went to start my wifes,it was really hard to pull over. I yanked as hard as I could and the engine froze, I ended up pulling the rope knot through the handle. I was severely off balance at that point and fell back onto the side rail of the trailer, then bounced off onto the ground. Took me a while to get back on my feet... everything hurt but no broken bones. Apparently the float needle is leaking and filled her engine up full of gas. I pulled it off the trailer with my ATV and drug it into the back yard. I have a massive bruise on my thigh.

Finally loaded up the trailer with the ATVs, then noticed wifes had a flat tire. Went to air it up, saw the valve stem was torn. SMH! Had to pull the tire, break it down, replace stem, refill and remount.

By that point I was super tired and sore. New year is NOT starting off well!

Mr. Dallan, don't worry about the start, don't you know the idiom: "All's well that ends well!"

and you learned a lot in a short period of time Smile

Well... we did actually go fishing yesterday, and it was a good day. I was worried about the ice being unsafe due to abnormally warm temps. But it was a solid 7" with a couple inches of slush and another solid inch over that. ATVs worked great, went anywhere we wanted to go. Fishing was slooooowwww until 11:30 then like a switch flipped it was game on! Limited out within the next hour and headed home with 12 big fat trout.

Had a great dinner, hot shower and nap. So it was a good day.

LOL, that is Awesome Dallan.

Here in Sydney, things are not going well either.
Somehow Covid has flared again in Sydney and the infection rate is quite high after a few weeks of zero cases.
As of the 3rd of January, we now have a mandatory law to wear a face mask in indoor public areas.
I guess we can be thankful that at least we are alive to bitch about it.

Nevertheless, I look forward to a better decade coming.

Gee Dallan, it sounds like you had one of those “couldn’t win a king hit in a pub brawl...couldn’t win a sucker punch in a bar brawl” type of days. I have far too many of those myself. I’m still searching for that Murphy guy, I’m sick of him and his Law.

At least you discovered the problem with the snowmobile and the quad bike...and you caught a pile of fish...ya gotta be happy with that mate.

Things aren’t too bad in my neck of the woods, although I still have my mother-in-law living with us because of the COVID problems in Sydney. All in all, I’m not complaining, although I’m chomping at the bit to get out and do some camping and hunting...or even a little range time.
