Kopi luwak is a coffee that consists of partially digested coffee cherries, which have been eaten and defecated by the Asian palm civet. It is therefore also called civet coffee. The cherries are fermented as they pass through a civet's intestines, and after being defecated with other fecal matter, they are collected.

Actually the reason behind it is that the civet would only eat fully ripe beans, thus the seed that they pooped out are fully ripened seed and thus have the best flavor.

Yep, no danger of me buying it. It is the most expensive coffee on earth.
It is supposed to be good but then so is caviar. I use crap for fertilizer and fish eggs for bait.
