You mean after I pee all over myself?
We actually had a bear in the neighborhood yesterday. It was seen about 1/2 mile down the road, headed my way. I never saw it. That's a first for me and I've been here for 35 years.

He wouldn't catch me. He'd be slipping in my trail of sh*t...
Definitely not a tree limb. for sure.
Had one follow me for about a mile once when I was hunting in the Sierras. Not a real good feeling.

I would probably blind him with a** while running away. All the best...

Back in 2008, I walked round a bend in a trail up on the San Juan mountains, CO to be faced with a BIG black bear, giving itself a good scratch on the end of a windfall pine.
I looked at the bear, the bear looked at me, then the bear did the "ohshitohshitohshit, run away very fast" thing far better than I ever could, which was a big relief & saved me having to change my underwear.
Carried a 1911 loaded with alternating ball/JHP as well as my hunting rifle after that reminder that us humans aren't always the peak predator.

When I saw that picture of the cat the first thing I noticed was that his right rear leg was caught on a limb. He was going to have to go back up before he could come down.
About that time I realized I had already drawn my 357.
It's a picture and I drew my gun?
I need to get out more...:)
