Outstanding mate. I have a 20g single shot shotgun that I have been thinking about using for a calibre change...not sure what I want though, plus the cost.

If it wasn't for the import laws, rules and regs, I'd build you a barrel real fast, quick like and in a hurry. Quite a few caliber options for shotgun barrels.

thats much flasherer than my .45/70 insert....BUT I can use shotgun as shotgun or slip in the .410 insert too.....

I'm an accuracy nut, which is why I made the insert permanent for best accuracy potential.

Handloads are QUIET, factory loads are not!

I cut the chamber to where I can shoot factory loaded 45 acp or reload using 45 Auto Rim brass. Both cases are the same exact length, and both cases headspace off the case mouth.

how do you attach the rail??? expoxy or is it grub screwed into threaded holes???

Elvis - if you look at the last picture in the first post, you can see the barrel set in a jig, as it is being tapped. The barrel was drilled and tapped for a Weaver #82 scope base, and was modified for the larger 8-40 screws.


slimjim - thank you. No reason at all, other than just personal preference, as I have always liked longer barrels.
