I was referring to the tourist trail horses that follow the leader as butt sniffers
and low self esteem...

It's not the "stable" horses fault. Just doing what they were trained to do.
I've ridden the Cascades, the Rockies and the Sierras. I do miss my mountains. All they have out here in Missouri Ozarks is foot hills.

The whole stable horse thing is kinda disgusting, I suspect only if you have ever owned and loved horses that you would disagree. The treatment that stable horse get is sad and the people who know nothing about horses that pay to ride the poor critters is worse, you put a 350 pound cow on my back I ain't moving either. And it may take hours to get where we going, but not long to get back where I can get your fat ignorant ass off my back. I am tired of trying to be nice, the vast majority of people are ignorant assholes.

well Ive worked with R.D.A. horses (riding for disabled)
tourist treking horses (farm)
and also real deal touristy big city go for walkies type horses as well
all three lots had absolutely 100% top notch care
the big city lot had heaps of young ladies who loved horses running around looking after them...almost to the pampering stage.
riding school ...well the woman just on edge of town here has ponies and young ladies go and pay to ride them....but they also have to clean tack/groom ponies and SHOVEL SHIT!!!!!
so I guess my experience is different to yours.
