Shouldn't you have another holster on that belt?

Been a couple of months, or three! Been under extreme fire watch of late. Monsoon came, fixed that. We be shooting again. Outstanding!
So yeh- been a while. Sooo much fun to get a little run-n-gun. Pretty happy. Tight shooting, lots of no-shoots and penalties just waiting to bite ya. Shot a slow, clean match and got my hits.
*5th out of 15 Overall (that's incl. Open, Limited, Pistol Cal. Carbine, Single Stack [me]).
*2nd 1911.
Heck, I'll take it!

See the picture of his mags? He didn't get off all his shots.

Well???
Today- the wheels fell off the wagon...all the kings horses and what not....
Stages were not that hard, but they had some yardage....that caught me out. Poor grip and trigger control today, and I tried to hose them and it bit me.
Lots of misses. Lot's of make up's. Glad I carry 6 mags! I even got (4) of the un-holy of holy's...."No-Shoot's"! Ugh! But I scanned my paper after the stage and just before I cleared and re-holstered I saw them. Boom- slap a fresh mag in, start running and make them up. (4) No-Shoots + the Mike's (misses) would have zeroed the stage. I made up the Mike's, but still got the penalties, but saved the stage and didn't zero it.
Stage before that- One large popper would not go down..decided to comeback to it. So I finished the stage and dropped the mag, slapped in a fresh one, ran back to that box and sent 6 out of 8, 230gr Hardball's smashing into it...that knocked it down. The crowd went nuts! Got to shoot with some of my local hero's too. One of them just made "Master" in Single Stack. That's a HUGE accomplishment.
So I finished 11/16 Overall and 3rd 1911.
practiscore.com/result...division=0
But- I'm gaining valuable experience on how to save stages when the wheels fall off. Super important thingy there. I didn't have that capacity a few months ago.
The Colt Competition Series is doing a flawless job out of the box. A lighter trigger would be nice. But I can score with this one when my head is on straight.
Good times.
