This took all my reloading skills from over 40 years to work up a load that caused a bullet to hit the target completely sideways! Perfect! Talk about accomplishments! If you think this is easy to do, just try getting a bullet to tumble at the exact rotation to imprint the target completly sideways, not once, not twice, but four times at 100 yards. Amazing! This has to be one of my greatest moments in a long associatation with firearms and reloading. Almost a perfect group except for the high left flyer. The wind must have caught that one.

If anyone cares to duplicate it, the load was 39.5 Varget/40 Sierra Hornet out of a 22-250AI 1:14 24" barrel around 4200fps. Do you think Sierra will put my picture in their next manual?

OK, actually I was just loading some ammo for sighters and using up some bullets I had laying around. When I saw the first one I just had to fire a couple more. Thought you guys would like a laugh!

Shocked Very Diffrent. I have had one & possibly 2 bullets do this but to get 4 is strange. Also looks like the 5th was also unstable, the hole is a bit out of round. Possibly the velocity you were getting and the heat was melting the lead and the bullet held together. I've had more that one load in various setups/calibers in that the bullet just melted away and never made it to the target. Shocked

Hahahaha that's awsome! I've ever only keyholed a single bullet... but to have that many, wow! Twisted Evil

You really ought to save a box of those babys for the range... you could play some pretty good pranks with people after they see the paper LOL!

FYI I've been past that amount of varget with my .22-250 using Speer 40grn HP's and groups were very tight. A tad past that and they dont make it to the paper... Shocked

DallanC, I just might do that, load some more of these little racals when all the "Experts" are at the range, fire a few and brag about my fine group. That should get'm mutter'n for a while. I'll give'm some BS about better expansion on game.

That is impressive. My 243 will do it with 100 grain stuff, but not with that much consistency.
