Although I've never hunted in the Land of Cheese, I'll bet there are a few wild piggies running around there somewhere. A call to your state Wildlife Department would be very informative. They will know whether or not you have any free bacon running around those parts. We have them running all over the Southeastern States and they are a big problem. Good luck and remember,........before you shoot one, find a climbing tree first!

There have been a few shot in wisc for years esp in crawford co.-I've never seen on but would love to see abunch here- farmers and DNR are all in a tizzy about them and estimate that 175 or so exisit in state but of course could take over all farms if not killed- kinda like DNR's approach to CWD hich hasn't done anytihng but screw up hunting around state.

Thanks for the tips. I'll check the local DNR and as i am very new to this state, Where is Crawford County?
And for Geogia, I moved her from SW Misouri where there are quite a few wild ones about so tree climbing is nearly second nature.

One way we can attract hogs into an area is to give them an irresistable rubbing tree. Wrap burlap around the base of a tree, about 3 feet or so up, and soak it with burned motor oil. Hogs can't resist rubbing against it. Helps keep bugs and such off of them. If they're in the area, they'll find it, and will use it heavily.
