We've had several discussions on concentricity. Elvis has suggested that one should load the bullet 1/2 way then rotate 180 before completely seating the bullet. Well today I was loading up 18 rounds of .270 Win with 129 LRX. After 8 rounds, I said, why not do the rest using Elvis's suggestion. I have Redding Bushing Dies with a competition seater which has always provided good concentricity results. Here are the results. Not scientific but and indication. Will have to repeat with my 6.8mm loads.

Runout
Bullet Seating w/ one Stroke (8 rounds)
0.0000" - 3 rounds
0.0015" - 1 round
0.0020" - 4 rounds

Bullet Seating w/ 180 Turn (10 rounds)
0.0000" - 2 rounds
0.0005" - 3 round
0.0010" - 3 round
0.0015" - 1 round
0.0020" - 1 round

Hmmm! I've got a Hornady concentricity tool that I haven't used a lot. Time to start playing with it!

This has definitely got me thinking now...some of my dies have loaded a lot of rounds and may have a little wear in them.

Next lot I load I will give it a try. I don't have Slims tools to check concentricity, but hopefully the results will should on the target.
