'bout damn time you got that barn swamped out...Solved the rat problem. 12 ga #7's. Works for me. Kills the rat, but no holes in the barn. Just dents. Laughing

Swamped out the stalls, patched all the "holes", peened out the dents.....ready for tomorrow. I might be late, or have to leave early, or both!

#12 for rats and snakes. #7.5 looks like someone took a planishing hammer to the barn sides! 'N stop lighting that boom stick off while I'm in there, made two for extra shovel-fulls!

Opening day: got to my spot after work- 5 mins. away.

Tons of cattle everywhere. Where's there's cattle? Birds are not. They don't like getting stepped on! But, they will be back once the browsing bovines move on. Was sick the rest of the weekend....so birds win again!

Nice day for a walkabout though!

Well not really. I'm having my own physical troubles right now but that pales in comparison to what my sweety is going through. She's been in the hospital for almost a week now and was just diagnosed with ALS. I don't know what I'm going to do without her. Sometimes life is rotten. I hope I can get my physical problems sorted out quick so I can keep her home longer. Right now I have a hard time lifting her.

That is terrible Wolf. ALS, like the Big C is an insidious disease that strikes at any time, upending a family's life. Fingers crossed that SWMBO has an easy time of it mate. If you need support, there is plenty here to go around mate.

Not sure what SWMBO means but thanks. From what I've read and the little we got from docs it's terminal. Average expectancy is four or five years from onset of symptoms. We are three years in. Yes it took three years to get a diagnosis. She can not fend for herself what so ever. Requires help getting in and out of bed, dressing/undressing, toilet/shower, can not walk unsupported and is losing most strength in her arms, I have to put her in and get her out of the truck if she has an appointment. I help her do most everything but actually eat right now. It's been so hard and I don't know what I'll do without her. It's hard not to break down when I go to see her. Last year this time she was competitively penning and sorting (needed two people to help her on the horse) and has deteriorated swiftly to this point since then.
