Of course we survived, but that's easy..
Bushy on the other hand would wrestle a T-Rex in the mornings as he grows up... now that's tough!

Geland, I agree.
The sad fact of the matter is its our generation that has invoked all the safety rules and invented the smart phones and tablets etc.
Victims of our own success perhaps.

LOL, my daughter's boyfriend's parents are greenies and they do wrapped their son in cotton.
The boy is polite, politically correct, but absolutely gutless.. (YES!!)
I am sure my athlete daughter can beat him up any time

I've only grown up as much as I've had to.
The grey haired bloke in the mirror on the other hand is starting to look very "mature".

You know when a young man has been mollycoddled by his mummy when he gets caught doing something and arrested and who's the first person he calls out for support….his frikken mummy, and the amount of mummies out there that continue to wrap their cretin kids up and go to the SODDIT defense (some other dude did it) as an excuse for his behavior - oh he was a sensitive child, he's not really like that, and a thousand other pathetic excuses for bad behavior!!!!!
If he'd had a decent up bringing he wouldn't be like that! Period!
enuff rant

Give all the kids a hockey helmet and wrap them in bubble wrap...... what do you think is going to happen to our society. I was one of the last "old school" NCO's when I retired. I was told by a Major that I was an obsolete dinosaur. The funniest thing happened on the qualification range the year after I retired....... that Majors grill doors flew open with the first round fired down ranger.
For those that are not from the Armor world having your grill doors fly open with the first round fired is the ultimate disgrace/ embarrassment for a Tanker. For some reason my former soldiers did not like that major.

Yep, know that feeling Weirsy.
After 23 years in our airforce this dinosaur had had enough, funny how just before I got out and had been deployed to East Timor for 6 months, I got " thank god you're back" from a lot of people some of which I knew didnt like me at all. When I queried why I was missed so much it was a case of at least you know wtf you're doing and can make a decision. Seems they changed over 50% of the squadrons manpower while I was away.
Dont miss being dicked around at all.
The grill doors you're talking about, they over the engine?
