Another bad news

Just received a bad news.
Leonardus Liong Thit Chang, an old friend of mine back in Indonesia, has just passed away.
We used to do crazy things (and I mean really stupid crazy things) together when we were teenagers.
I never worry when I am in a fight with him there, I could count on him to watch my back, never fail.
The funny thing is the first time we met, we fought each other due to some misunderstanding.
When the dust settled, we become good mates.
Whenever I gone back to Indonesia, I used to stay (crash) at his home.
In fact the day I ask SWMBO's dad for her hand, Leo were there with me giving me moral support (and transport).

He is only 47 years old.

Good bye Leo, there is a big hole you left my friend.

That's terrible Gelan...loosing family is one thing, but loosing a true mate is even worse.

Treasure your memories with Liong mate and honour his memory when you feel the urge.

RIP Liong Thit Chang, may your afterlife be better than your living life.

That's sad Geland, I'm sorry for you. How nice it must have been to be able to stay at a close friend's house while you were there. I really would like to hear about the crazy things you did together......at least the legal ones, it's nice to know you got away with things. I know so many people that did some things I did, but didn't get away with it. Sometimes you wonder how stupid can someone be, but then actually, it was only your good fortune that you got away with it.

Well anyway your memories are still intact and your friendship won't fade into the distance of time, because you experienced some great times together and nothing can erase your history.

That's one of the things in life: the older you're allowed to become, the more friends you'll have to say good-bye to.
Here they say that the best go first. And they have 1 big advantage: they don't have to mourn over you.
So when he was really a very good friend, I think he would appreciate it when you have a drink. Toast to him and all the good memories he left you.

Old friends are precious, they have seen you through thick and thin, yet sticking on accepting you as you are.

I am glad to be here guys, many of you I will never see, but your words are precious to me.

Family are given but mates are chosen. Losing someone who is that close must be hard but he will live with you in those memories that only you and he shared. So here is to your friend. May he have one foot in heaven before the devil knows he is dead
