well I got through Monday okish.
1st 3rd of the day was very spooky with the pucker factor majorly coming at every corner and my eyes glued to my mirrors.
2nd 3rd of day getting better got my 2nd load of cows loaded and could make myself drive a little quicker but only around right hand corners!! the left hand corners still caused me to get the shakes
the last part of the day wasnt too bad, had a secound cuppa tea and went off to deliver my 2nd load of cows, my boss and the guys from work were very supportive, the boss said try to forget the trailer is there, so I did (nearly) got the cows to the farm and unloaded ok then drove home good as old cheese.
very pleased the day is over, back into it at 8am tomorrow.

Well done Elvis. It's not always easy to get past a problem like that...as you say, the pucker factor kicks in...but it seems you have managed ok.

Way I look at it is...you have done many hundreds of thousands of kilometres and only had one nasty accident. You are a good driver, so focus on the good driving experiences and forget about the bad.

today was ok. apart from spooking at my shadow swinging across infront of me!!! drove the dreaded road today and got back up to speed again. plurry sore and still a little shaky but she'll be right.

I thanked my boss for being a hard arse today and putting me right back into it. Have beaten the shakes and feel confident cautiously . went to the doctors and have torn rib muscles so have the day off tomorrow and am on holiday for 10 days after that which should be heaps of time for recoil therapy to work its magic. 3 more sleeps guys just 3 more sleeps!!!

Elvis, wow! glad your steering wheels are on the wrong side! You would have been ground up a little more if configured with the wheel on the left. Certainly would have been a scarier view of the accident (thanks for the picture posting, Vince). How did the cattle round up go post side slide stop?

not too much trouble the wee girls were poked into the nearest paddocks and a friendly farmer turned up with the workers and took over getting them out and away.
a hard frost here this morning -2C thats about 20F
the ducks will be looking for running water and ponds freezing.

Ive spent the last two weeks back in a stock truck n trailer unit and my first load went right back over that same stretch of road (first time Ive dont it with stock since) had a great week and really got back into the groove, today was simply awesome with 3 loads of cows that plurry near loaden and unloaded themselves, as the girls wandered off the truck they all but winked and thanked me!!!!!
Im definitely a "Nana driver" if the road sign says a corner is 65 I take it at 45 and so on . 20 below is safe n slow
