Well it's not actually going to be a bomb shelter, but here is a thought that I am seriously considering. There is a hill just down from where we are going to put our house, out on the property. What I am considering is digging into the backside which no one could see from the nearest road. Then buy one or two well used cargo containers (the type they pick up off semi's and load directly on the ships) covering the tops and sides with a vinyl or rubber sheet, run water and power to them underground and some type of drain system, and camouflaging the entrance as well as possible. This would be primarily for storage of all kinds of goodies. But, who knows what other options they might afford.

If you plan on using a shelter to survive a Yellow Stone eruption you should understand that you will need at least 10 years of food, filters for food and water for that same 10 year span and some way to keep it warm (ten feet of earth on top and all sides will keep it at about 50F) while the outside temps drop to -40F for multiple years world wide.
Forget about foraging for food - the plants will die the first year and the animals will follow soon after. I have worked on several shelter designs but the time frame is hard to deal with. After 10 years the plants may start to come back but it will take a long time for the animals to return. Getting a complete protein balance for the years - decades - that it will take is going to be a struggle.

At least here down under we won't cop the full brunt but we'd be in the proverbial for a while, food, health and welfare would be the 3 biggest factors i'd be concerned about.

Referencing the "Super volcano eruption":
To quote my 93 year old Mom when a doctor asked her if she wanted to be resuscitated in case of a stroke, heart attack, etc. "Heck no! If something that bad happens I don't think I want to hang around!"

Just so our friends in Australia and New Zealand don’t feel left out here are a couple of super volcanoes a little closer to home.
LAKE TAUPO, NEW ZEALAND SUPER VOLCANO
Lake Taupo itself was created by a massive eruption 26,500 years ago. The caldera — the collapsed and subsided basin left after the huge eruption — became today's lake. But Taupo did not die. The 485-square-mile caldera let loose again in the year A.D. 181, with estimates of ash and magma reaching as high as 22 cubic miles. That's on the order of a hundred times more than Mount St. Helens. Today Lake Taupo still shows signs of life.
LAKE TOBA, SUMATRA, INDONESIA SUPER VOLCANO
The 1,080-square-mile Toba caldera is the only supervolcano in existence that can be described as Yellowstone's "big" sister. About 74,000 years ago, Toba erupted and ejected almost three times as much volcanic ash as the most recent major Yellowstone eruption (Lava Creek, 630,000 years ago) and about 12 percent more than Yellowstone's largest eruption (Huckleberry Ridge, 1.8 million years ago). That comes to several thousand times more material than erupted from Mount St. Helens in 1980.
