Gidday guys...I am looking around for about 1000 once fired .410 hulls...Winchester AA and / or Remington STS only.

Let me know price etc and we can work out the necessary freight costs to Australia.

I will have a look as someone on trademe was selling them new.

nothing showing at this time. they were shellite hulls from memory, they arent listed in my shotshell loading book but appear to be the same as remington hulls. wads are easy to find aswell claybuster is the brand I have they are winchester interchangable.
if you have no joy contact target products in washdyke Timaru. they make falcon shells and fiocci stuff too. they make most of they clay target rounds in NZ and also do .410. they maybe able to help, even if you have to buy loaded rounds to get your cases at that volume a deal should be achievable.

Thanks mate...big problem with buying loaded stuff is the expense...they are readily available in Australia, but they are as dear as poison because there isn't a big call for them.

There are a few people in the US that collect and sell them, and getting empty cases into the country isn't too difficult. I have a couple of guys keeping an eye out for me now. I use Claybuster wads as well, in both 12g and .410, and I can get them at a reasonable price about a 10 minute drive from home. They are a pretty reasonable wad.

Iill certainly be having a look at Trademe and Washdyke though.

Have you thought about using 410 brass shells? I have a thread on here somewhere where I first started out using 444 marlin cases, but with one of my 410's there was a problem with the extractor engaging the smaller rim on the 444 case.

I have since bought 4 boxes of magtech brass cases and have been using these ever since. The 410's I have are all single shot and never had to resize the brass. I don't know if you would have to if using a pump. I don't use any wads in my shells but do use an undershot and overshot card that you can make yourself. As a test with 5 cases marked, they have all been fired 25 times each and never had to resize and the cases look like new .

Have looked at the option of brass cases, but I will probably be shooting quite a few and the it may not work out viable to use the brass cases...but it certainly wouldn't hurt to have a few in the "inventory".

Best option for what I want to do is still the Winchester AA and Remington STS hulls.

magnum imports can do cheddite hulls. dont know a price and not as good as the others but maybe worth a look anyways. Wayne is great to deal with. Ive purchased a few lots of stuff from him. taipan projectiles and tanning kits.

I can get the cheddite cases...but I am set up to reload the Winchester AA or Remington STS hulls...wads etc. Also, the Winchester and Remington reload easier, last longer and surprisingly give more velocity.
