What features, things etc etc would you like to see here at this website?

What do you currently dislike about this website?

I take critisim well and really want to know peoples thoughts. We are doing well from a standpoint of upgrading this past January to today. We average approx 40,000 page views a month now which is terrific. We are approaching 300 members. Its great

But I know we can do better, the question is "how".

DallenC,
The only thing that I would like to see different is the home page. I guess I would like the homepage to open up straight into the Forums. It took me a couple of days to really understand how everything worked on the site when I was brand new here. And I just think maybe if the homepage opened straight to the formums it would be easier to navigate. I really like all the info on the left half of the screen. Leave that there. I really like this site a lot.

As a cranky old fellow who has found somewhat of a home here, I have a few thoughts. I think there should be a forum entitled "Campfire", "Gun Room"or "Hunting Camp" where folks could just chat and sound off without a structured focus. The topics could and should vary widely.

I would like to see a military surplus arms forum as a means to broaden the appeal of this site. Finally, as most of us probably visit our Boards, it would help to mention Hunting Nut in some context. All the best...
Gil

LOL thats what this "General" forum is for. I'll be happy to change the name of it from General to whatever you guys want though. Campfire seems neutral enough.

The "main" page will also be changing soon. I could put forum access there very easily but have another idea I want to try first.

Howdy Dallan. Was just thinkin (Scary Hugh) what about some sort of long range shooting/hunting game that could be played online. I don't no about copy right laws and such or if you would have to make your own wich i imagine wouldn't be easy and could be more trouble than its worth. I know of no other fourm site that has this and a lot of people enjoy these types of games. I no you work hard on this site i am not trying to add to that. Just a thought! Smile

I would love to see a forum topic devoted to hand-loading recipes. In trying to work up loads for a new (to the user) caliber, it would be great to have a starting point as tested by some of our members. What powder to start with? What charge weights to start with? I have 6 reloading manuals and if you try to determine a starting point based on a consensus of all these, you would be so confused that you would just have to pick one and go with it. If nothing else, anyone who has decided on a starting load and sees that someone else has tried it (or something very close) will at least feel that they are on the right track. Just a thought.. Smile

A few days ago when I signed up the only thing that came to my attention was that the Home Page was a bit confusing/busy. It almost felt as if everything was too small in a way. I hope you can understand what I mean. Other than that its good. Thanks for the site & hope I can be of assistance.

I agree flint. I have the "recommend us" module set to the "Home" page... I'll be changing it out later for something better.
