Due to bad weather my rifle didn't arrive today, even though the on-line tracking thing says it's in route they removed the date. Maybe they deliver on Sat.
I like red not pink....red is more my nature anyway HOT!!

Due to bad weather they changed the delivery date to next Tuesday the 24th. I was sittin around here all day Friday waiting for it and nuthin. They didn't change the delivery date until Saturday night. OOoooo I hate waiting! We had some snow early in the week that turned to ice then we got 106 mph winds and it started to rain. Got a total of 6 inches (depends on who you talk to) in 24hrs along with warmer weather which melted the snow in the mountains and now we've got flooding. Trees down, electrical wires down, mud slides and sink holes the whole works. Still raining too. So the guys are late, I can handle it.

if you get the rifleman there was an article in this months about the "98's from Mitchell's they even hinted at producing a sporter I would love to see someone like that make an affordable replica of the sporters from the first half of the last century.

Still haven't gotten my Mauser.....FedEx was delayed because of weather and changed the date to today the 25th, I left a note on the door for my neighbor to sign for it and they left me a note saying only I could sign for it and only at this address. I was working of course. I called them and changed the delivery address to a FedEx store. Hopefully tomorrow I'll pick up the darned thing.
I'm gettin like a caged animal pacing the floor.
Hey Fnuser the Mitchell's mausers have a bad rap for being overly expensive and not being real truthful about what they're selling. I'd be careful with them. I've seen some for sale in Cabela's and they look nice enough tho. the price is a couple hundred over what you would expect. Allen's Armory If you've never seen this site, has a quick moving inventory of rifles (Mausers included) and I've bought from him a few times. His descriptions are very honest and has good photos, prices are spot on. His inventory is quite low right now (I just looked it over)

Tried some Wolf ammo and had light strikes, so I quit, but the re-loaded ammo works great. |
I've heard of this before with Wolf primers with non-mil-spec triggers/springs.

Every spent shell had a bent neck. Is that normal? |
Bent necks as in dings from hitting the deflector during case ejection? This might be normal. Yes post picture as OV1 suggests.

The reflex site I was not impressed with the brightness of it. Had to turn it way up to see it and I really need it to be higher, about a 1/2 inch or so. |
Lack of brightness is typical of inexpensive reflex sights. Did you check the range where parallax is zero? For sights to work well on an AR, they need to be 2.5" above the bore which equates to 1.5" above the top rail.
