tlo, I think I know your problem. Now try to open and close the bolt as fast as you can and the problem might be gone.
Because you want to be carefull, you're operating the bolt far too slow so: or the bullet jumps too high or not high enough and it touches the barrel instead of going into the opening of the chamber.

Good point Aloys...I've seen more than one feeding problem that could be attributed to slow activation of the bolt.

I determine last night something interesting about the hollow points. If the magazine has at least one round beneath the one I am trying to insert into the chamber then the hollow point chambers fine but when you get to the last round in the magazine if it is a hallow point it catches on the feeding ramp. So for now what I can do is place a soft point or belistic tip in the magazine first and the rest hallow points and they will work fine. I may need a new magazine or something i guess.

The cartridges should have an upward slant at the front (bullet) end. If not try reversing the mag spring or get a new spring or magazine.

Yep last round blues sounds like a mag issue.

aha batman now we are getting somewhere....
my norinco .22 does eggzachary the same plurry thing!!!!
its just a matter of working out the why and no more problem. a ballistic tip in the bottom of the magazine is a great idea. you could stretch the mag spring too.

I am going to look into getting a couple more magazines. I unfortunatly cannot figure out how to get it apart to try the things you guys suggested. It appears as though the magazine housing is made of a single piece of metal and is either tac welded or something. Anyway now that I know what the problem is I can compensate for it.

You may have to push the follower down and to the rear of the magazine, roatate it 90 degrees and push/pull it forward and out of the mag housing. This is the same procedure that anyone who has a Remington 788 has to do to get their mags taken apart.
