Finally got out for whitetail today. Saw one little slick-head and passed on it. Had a wonderful time outdoors!

After not having rain here for a month and a half, why in the world does it have to rain on opening day? Shocked Sad

It rained hard enough so I gave up as the deer from past experience are going to bed down.

Latest weather report for here talks snow for tomorrow. Very Happy

Well the season goes on............I got another road goat with the truck but no new damage this time. I got to spend 3 days hunting military land with a friend home on leave from Afghanistan. We seen a few deer spent the evenings making up for lost time. We had a 4 inch snowfall so the deer didn't move. I finally got the deer slayer mounted on the truck but now there are no deer running down the road. I will post a pick if I get home before dark.

Our drought in Texas has impacted the deer population pretty bad. The guy that owns the land that I hunt on says that the corn is rotting on the ground under the feeders and he hasn't gotten many deer on the trail cameras. Said he might not even hunt on the land next year to see if the population would start to recover.

Been out 4 times now all I could do, haven't seen anything but pigs and coyotes. Wish I could get out more.

Having to depend on someone else to hunt is a real pain in the a--.

The pigs have tore up all the fields I planted and I can't even find a deer track. This is really getting bad.

Click on the button that says "Post Reply" and on that page you will see "Add an Attachment" area, click the browse button to search for the file than left click the file to hightlight it and hit the add attachment button.
