That 788 is something isn't it. I went back to it this year to take my moose. One shot at a running animal and he hit the ground like he was body slammed. I love that gun.

Thanks for the info Slinger. I had not heard of this round either. Apparently it was a fix for 30/30 and 32 special with worn out barrels |

I use RL22 with 95 gr. SST hornady for most accurate in my Rem. 788. I get around 2900fps.

I watched a TV show with Fred Bear years ago and he killed a bull elephant with one arrow thru the heart. That bull didn't go 50 yards. |
